Multiple reports have come out saying that the White Sox have won the sweepstakes for Cuban sensation Luis Robert. Ken Rosenthal and Jon Heymen are reporting that the deal will be around the $25-$30 million range. 

This is huge news, and a massive shot of adrenaline to the Sox rebuild plan. Landing Robert is like getting a Top 5 draft pick talent, weeks before having the 11th pick in the actual draft. Many people think that Robert will slide in right behind Moncada as the No. 2 prospect in the White Sox system. Once everything becomes official we’ll find out where Robert will start in the system. I’d expect him to rise pretty dang fast. 

This is a fantastic day for Sox fans everywhere. Is Robert a guarantee? Of course not. But he’s a great thing to hang some hope on going forward. A huge moment for this rebuild.
